The first time you use the headphone, you need to pair it. That's the red/blue blinking mode. After that, please only hold the button down until the light first comes on. Then you will get sound. What you do is turn the device on and just leave it on until you turn Bluetooth on in your phone and search for nearby devices. You'll see JVC in your phone or PC or whatever has the Bluetooth and just press to connect then the blinking will stop on the JVC headphones.
