Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Nothing is on the cord, the microphone is on the neck part. I've noticed that I will block the mic if I'm looking straight down to my left. I am also 6' 2" 270lbs. so neck fat may be a factor. The battery charger port is under a shield on the inside left part of the over the neck headphones. One picture you can see the mic on top the other picture you can see the charging port on the inside opened. I tried to get both to be able to show you the sliders on each side.

That's one of the reasons I love these earbuds. Sound is good battery life is about 8-9 hours of straight use, and fully charged in about an hour. I like that when I connect it to my iPhone, my iPhone shows the battery life of the earbuds.
