• The cameras work with the app via 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. The cameras are useless without Wi-Fi. When you insert a memory card, the individual cameras format them with proprietary code, therefore only the cameras can read & write data to the card then sent back the the app via the internet. Computers cannot read the proprietary data off the memory cards. Luckily in the app you can export camera recordings directly into your camera roll on your phone & tablet.

• Yes, an internet connection is needed for your Kangaroo devices to work. Specifically, a 2.4GHz is needed to be linked to your devices during the pairing process. The system uses it to communicate with the Kangaroo mobile app.
