You have to purchase the tablet separate.

Delayed answer....but, no. You have to provide a tablet or computer with bluetooth in order to use the wand and complete the programming challenges. We found a laptop was much easier to use than an iPad because of size and a better angle for typing and using the wand at the same time.

You must have your own Kano or tablet but it doesn't work very well. Get some newer version like the frozen or star wars
