QuestionWhat is the difference between the pdx and pmx lines? Why would I want to spend the extra money on the more expensive pmx if the pdx will do the job?

- Answer mfiman, The main difference is the lateral adjustment of the PMX series. You can move the articulating arms of the mount left or right and get your TV situated perfectly if your studs aren't in the ideal location. The second difference is tool-less tilt, you need a wrench to adjust the PDX whereas you only need to move a lever on PMX. - Answer Mountain Girl, The PDX680 has a wall plate that can accommodate 24" stud spacing. The PDX650's wall plate can accommodate 18" spacing at the most. QuestionThe area I would like to mount a 65" TV would require it to be fully extended to the 24" limit of the mount. Is it safe/ strong enough to keep the TV "permentantly" mounted like that?

- Answer GaryS, There will be 2" between the wall and the rear of your TV if you do not have to use any spacers in your installation. The XBR-75X940D has a compatible 400x300 VESA pattern and is under the weight capacity of the PDX680, should work great! QuestionIs this compatible with LG or SONY 65 inch TV?

- Answer I purchased this for a 77” LG OLED. I was told the mount was rated for more than the 77” OLED and this mount would work. I had the OLED mounted by BBY. I ended up having them come back out and used a Rockfish full motion mount I already had previously purchased. This mount does not have screws to lock the Tilt or Leveling. It was also too stiff to pull out the OLED and if I did the level or tilt would move a lot! I can’t recommend this mount for any TV but especially not an OLED!

QuestionCan you tilt the 680 on the fly?

- Answer Yes you can. Even though the PDX680 doesn't have a tilt knob you can tension the tilting mechanism so that it will keep your TV in place wherever you adjust it. It might take a bit of time to dial it in perfectly but you can tilt on the fly once it's setup correctly. - Answer No it doesn't. I installed mine a couple of days ago, so the details are fresh in my memory. Nothing mentioned in the owner's manual and no extra parts were left over. As long as the thief had a hex nut wrench or a decent pair of pliers, they could remove the two bolts that secure the connection between two parts of the mount (the wall piece and the tv piece).

- Answer Nancy, We can only recommend the installation methods that are in our manual using the provided hardware to install into wood or concrete walls. Metal studs are hollow and do not provide the structure necessary for our lag bolts to grip into. For this type of installation we recommend consulting a professional installer to determine if your wall is able to safely hold the weight of the mount and TV, and how to install correctly.
