The glitter is covered by a thick lining of plastic so it feels sleek, and not scratchy and prevents the glitter from coming off. It's pretty smooth too, I would almost compare it to the outside of a text book.

My daughter has the Rose Gold and I checked hers out when she got it bc I thought it looked really good. I do not recall it feeling scratchy or rough. If memory serves me correctly it felt very nice and the glitter did not appear to shed. She has had her sleeve since July and it is still holding up very well. We do not regret the purchase and the inside is better insulated with padding a lot better than the others we looked at.

It's not actually "glitter", it's a cross-hatched textured weave that gives the effect. It IS textured as I say, but soft to the touch overall. I am hard on most things and having had this for months, it has one scuff which is only noticeable from specific angles.

It's not rough at all. It doesn't feel like it's a plastic lining covering the glitter either. It has a glossy feel and the glitter is embedded into the plastic.

No not at all! It's only glittery on the outside and it's smooth. Kind of like leather or what you said with the plastic lining lol so no glitter comes off either. The inside is padded! I love it! Protects my Mac well. No scratches from glitter.

There is no glitter, it is more of a shiny weatherproof material. Very attractive. I also thought there was glitter and was pleasantly surprised when it arrived.

The glitter is built into the material, so it doesn't come off and it has a very smooth surface. The sleeve is surprisingly well padded. It matches the color scheme of the rose gold Apple products very nicely. I only wish the cover had a handle, instead of it being a plain sleeve, as I am deathly nervous about dropping it at one point while trying to hold it under my arms, when opening car doors and house doors. A handle would make a huge difference to me, but otherwise, it is a very well built, well padded and pretty case.
