Will this fit a series 3 - 42mm? null

No; when buying Apple Watch bands you have to look and specifically buy for 38mm or 42mm depending on the size of your watch.

IDK. I bought it for a 40mm. The site indicates a 38mm or 40mm. I’m guessing not.

No it won’t, this is for the 38mm (which is the same size as the Series 4 40mm). The Series 3 42mm and Series 4 44mm are same size so if you find one for 44mm, it will fit your 42mm.

No it won’t, this is for the 38mm (which is the same size as the Series 4 40mm). The Series 3 42mm and Series 4 44mm are same size so if you find one for 44mm, it will fit your 42mm.
