• Turn off G-sensor (or set sensitivy down) your driving into bumps (or a bumpy car) makes it beleive it is a crash or something, hence keeping the files as protected.

• that your file protect indicate hit the wifi to turn off and on

• Looking at the manual there isn't a feature to use a pad lock. It would be best to contact Kenwood to see what options you have. Maybe try resetting it which is at the bottom of the camera.
