1) Download the Kenwood firmware from their www site to your PC. 2) Downloaded file / folder is zip compressed, pack it up, on your PC. 3a) Copy file (the packed up version) to any SDXC card which is outside of dashcam. So card need to be connected to a card reader / usb stick for SDXC card, from your PC. NOTE: to not connect to your SDXC card, while this card is in your Kenwood dashcam. Any cards within the dashcam is write protected as long it is inside of dashcam. 3b) Example: I sent the packed up file to my own email, which is mirrored on my Samsung cellphone, with a SDXC card, downloaded it to top file directory (as file only, not in any folder, then moved the cellphone SDXC card into the dashcam, upgraded and moved SDXC card back into cell again). 4) Then move your SDXC card into your dashcam, power up & answe yes to firmware upgrade, takes some minutes.
