• I suppose it could - when you download the videos and use (view) the gps option - it might display error or the car was going in reverse. So if you needed the video for legal purposes you might be sol.

• The camera will record by pressing the record button however there is no option to reverse the image. The camera is really intended to be used as a front dash camera.
