Depends on if you want deep bass or tight bass. Also, You have to have enough air space. Look up charts online to determine the size of your box.

A good rule of thumb for a 12" would be roughly 2 cu ft. or something close. I might recommend you visit Kenwood's website to see if they, as the manufacturer offer any "recommended" enclosure configurations.
