• Yes, the K-Duo with the glass carafe does have an electric heating plate. The K-Duo Plus with the stainless steel carafe does not have this feature.

• Yes, the K-Duo has a heating plate that will automatically turn on once a carafe brew is complete and will remain on for 2 hours before shutting off.

• No it does NOT. Fortunately, they built the carafe like those igloo thermoses, so they retain heat forever. I have an ember mug that measure liquid temp and it reads at 150ish when brewed. After 6+ hrs or so, if I pour a new cup from the same pot, it reads out at around 90ish, being drinkable for 3-5hrs after brew depending on how hot you like it.
