For each cup you fill the reservior with water using the coffee cup you want to fill. Make sure it's cold fresh water. When the unit completes the cup, the reservior is empty ready for another cup.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use my coffee cup to fill it. So it makes just the amount of coffee to fill the cup I am drinking from. If you do not do this you can end up with a mess. The machine will continue dispensing how much ever liquid you put into it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I go by Directions and pour each time either 8 or 10 oz according to cup, wprks fine for me that way. Never saw anywhere to do it other wise. 1 Cup so is fresh water each time
