As for how much water to use, there should be a maximum water level marker on the water container. You don't actually need a filter, but if you really want to get the pure flavor of the coffee you should probably get one. Look up accessories for your model. As for the pod, lift the handle on the front of the coffee maker and drop it in the hole.
