Follow the instructions. Make a hot cup brew without K-cup daily or every other day depending on usage. Weekly or bi-weekly rinsing of small K-cup holder and damp wipe around. Easy.

buy a Keurig® Descaling Solution or Descale with a vinegar rinse: Mix one half white vinegar and water to fill the water reservoir. Start the brew cycle without inserting a K-cup. Repeat until reservoir is empty, discarding the mug contents after each brewing cycle.I do 2 reservoirs or until i see just clean water without coffee ground.
