• A:Answer The Skar RP-1500.1D amplifier is rated to produce 1500 watts @ 1-ohm impedance, 930 watts @ 2-ohms impedance. If you were to wire each of the 12" CompR DVC 2-ohm subwoofers coils in series each subwoofer would be a 4-ohm impedance. Then parallel wire those two subwoofers to the amplifier, the amplifier would see a 2-ohm load and develop the 930 watts rated power. That would be 465 watts RMS to each subwoofer. The subwoofer is rated 500 watts RMS, so you are within specifications. As always, set your gains properly and do not clip your amplifier. Enjoy!

• A:Answer There are two sets of speaker hook ups. Get a section of speaker wire about six inches long. Make sure both the pair and negative ends of both ends of the wire are showing about one inch of bare wire. Then you simply connect the positive and negative on one side. Then stretch the wire over to the other side and do the same. Connect in parallel. Positive to positive. Negative to negative. Then you take the incoming speaker wire from your amp and connect it to either side of the speaker. Positive to positive. Etc. Now you have a one ohm load of it's a two ohm speaker. It would be two ohms if it were a four ohm speaker.

Q: QuestionI have a BOSS Audio Systems R6002 Riot Series amp that advertises 450 Watts x 2 RMS @2-Ohms. What would be the best way to wire a single one of these speakers?

• A:Answer I would recommend using a class D amp with an 600-800 watt RMS 1 ohm rating to power this subwoofer for optimum performance. The ohms rating fluctuates during use so is alwaysbest to use a 1 ohm ratingamp (In my opinion). The amp you have is rated for 2 ohms at 450 wattts. Since it is a 2 channel amp, you would want to bridge the amp to a single output. This would work but would not really be optimized for the subwoofer. Photo included is a wiring diagram for bridging the amp for 1 sub. I hope this was helpful.
