I have a 2003 Chrysler and I have these subs paired with a 1200w RMS amp, and they sound great. Although at higher volume levels, they seem to rattle everything in my car, and it took me a while to sort of sound proof everything to stop certain things from vibrating so bad that it sounded terrible. I'm guessing that with older cars, things start to get looser over time and rattle more easily. I also notice that when playing really heavy bass at higher volumes, my car's electrical system has trouble keeping up with it. My lights dim pretty bad in sync with the bass. I do not have a capacitor yet, and I am not even sure if that will help with the problem. So as far as already having another amp in your car, you may have issues with power. Just make sure to use as heavy of a wire gauge as you can to make sure you're getting as little resistance in the run as possible. I don't often run them at full power, so when using them at moderate volume levels, the light dimming doesn't happen.
