A:AnswerShouldn't be an issue. Stock calls for 5X8 and these went right into my 2000 F-350 crew cab with room to spare, no problem. Honestly 6X9's will probably fit in stock locations as well. Huge improvement over the stock Ford garbage.
A:AnswerGood chance you're getting road noise. If you change to a higher grade speaker wire it should get rid of most of the static. If you're using a stock head unit that's probably an issue as well. Order speaker wire with thicker shielding from Crutchfield or Best Buy.. If you do this and static persists check your ground.
Steer clear of Walmart brands. They're basically what you have now
A:AnswerYes, these speakers are a 6" x 8" design and will work in place of similar sized factory speakers. The KICKER CS Series of speakers are designed with high quality materials for long life and outstanding sound quality. High efficiency design works well with factory radios/amplifier as well as aftermarket.
A:AnswerThey are more than decent for the price point and available locally for immediate pick up. Quality is more than adequate for the average consumer. A false advertising lawsuit over a typo concerning build materials would be overeaching just a bit. Can be amplified with a smaller amp and easily fine tuned with an active X-over. Can't please everyone and if your ear is that discerning, or system is that specialized, why are you buying off the shelf at a big box?
