• Minimum 8 Gauge I believe a 60 amp fuse would be needed

• You'll be fine, the negative drop to that is per specifications you won't be utilizing the Amps full capability, It's like using lower octane gas in a sports car when is requires a higher octane, car will still run just not at its full capacity,
