Amp gains could not be set correctly, power, ground correct awg? Have you verified with ohm meter ( multimeter) at speaker wires before connecting to amp? Wired correctly? All these could cause a protect mode issue
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The KICKER CXA800.1 Amplifier is designed for operation into an impedance as low as 1 ohm. If you are using two 4-ohm subwoofers in parallel as stated, then you are presenting the amplifier a nominal impedance of 2-ohms which is well within its operational design. I would suggest checking the following: 1.) speaker wiring from the amplifier to the speaker for a short or poor connection. 2.) Power and ground wiring for proper gauge and solid connections. KICKER designed the CXA800.1 to use 4-gauge power and ground wire and we highly recommend using 100% Copper wiring, not Copper Covered Aluminum (CCA). Power and ground connections and the wire used are very important for consistent, reliable operation and many times protection issues are from the wrong gauge wire or bad connections. If you need help in these areas visit your local KICKER dealer.
