AFAIK the 2.5" disk drive SATA connector is standard (mechanically and electrically), regardless of the SATA speed. According to the A400 spec sheet, the Kingston A400 drive is SATA 3.0 compliant, but is backward compatible to SATA 2.0.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, SATA 3 is normally backwards compatible, but you will only get the SATA 2 speed of 3 GB/s. It looks like in a MacBookPro 5.5, a SATA 3 drive will drop down to 1.5 GB/s.
