This way at a glance you would not know there was an appliance there as it would seamlessly blend in with you cabinets
A:AnswerThere is no reason it couldn't. It would be rather bulky, it is not a small appliance. It is designed to fit under a cabinet, but it would still work free standing.
A:AnswerHello Toni! Per the Use and Care Guide: This compactor is for use on a single phase, 115-volt, 60 Hz, AC only, 15- or 20-amp fused and properly grounded circuit. Thank you for your inquiry on our KitchenAid appliances.

A:AnswerThis will probably fit very tightly without taking the wheels off. I measured my opening and it is right about that size for height and it fit without removing anything. It was a tight fit. Your tightest area will be the two machine screws at the top of the unit. I put this unit in to replace an old Jenn Air that tightly fit in the same space.
