QuestionIf we replace a KCMS185J microwave with KMCS1016GSS, will the trim kit we have - MK1197XHS- fit? Thank you.
- Answer The KCMS185J unit has dimensions HxWxD 13 9/16x18 13/16x23 7/8 and the KMCS1016GSS unit has dimensions 13x17 1/4x21 3/4. I could not find the center opening dimensions of your trim kit but it seems from the microwave dimensions that the KMCS1026GSS has smaller size than your original unit. The new unit should fit but will have extra space around the sides and top where you will be able to see into the opening the trim kit is surrounding. The other thing you should consider is the finish of the trim kit compared to the finish of the microwave unit you are considering.
QuestionOur KCMS1655 just died. What microwave do you make to replace it? We want it to look the same - stainless and black. We would keep the trim kit we have (MK2167, MK2160). Thank you.

QuestionI am looking for a microwave that includes a probe so a product can be heated to a precise temperature. Is this what you mean by "Sensor Cooking"?

QuestionOur old Kitchenaid microwave (KCMS145JSS) just died after about 20 years. It is built into our cabinet with a 27" trim kit (MK1197xhb I believe). Will this new microwave fit in the same spot/trim kit or do we have to replace both?
