I installed this with small cabinets above. Remeber to either allow the venting to go through these cabinets or install with the venting in the Front option
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have my microwave/convection oven over the range. We removed the old oven and installed the Kitchen Aid. My son did it mostly by himself. The only help required was lifting the oven up in place. I don't know about IN a cabinet, but mine is boxed in on three sides. The bottom needs to be open because that is where the filter.

If it were completely enclosed then it would vent heat and steam into the cabinet. My kitchen is the typical design where the cabinets flow up and over the stove. I replaced my existing light/fan range hood with this microwave/convection oven. I have cabinets above and on both sides. -Dan
