Hi Frank, for scratches, we recommend using a stainless steel cleaner. We recommend the Affresh Brand and here is the link to that product: https://bit.ly/3vjVimg The Filter Reset procedure is on page 18 of the Owner's Manual and reads as follows: RESET FILTER — Touch MAX COOL and MAX ICE together for 3 seconds to reset the water filter.
