A:AnswerDid not install the machine myself I did watch it be installed and from what I could tell yes it has an open bottom. The water connection is underneath and made with a flexible line so not sure if it's rear connect middle connect or someplace else connect. But using a flexible line it shouldn't matter
A:AnswerNo, it does no have a grinder, it has a dual filter syrstrm which works great. We no longer rinse our dishes and in two months of use the filter has remained spotless. We do not use heated dry, but we open the unit when it finishes. Dishes are spotless, no streaking. We do not use rinse agents!
A:AnswerBlack disappears under the body of the appliance and after a week or so you won't notice it anymore. You're just hyperfocusing on it. It's like when we installed solar light tubes, we kept looking up at the ceiling, but after a while you normalize (or at least you should) and stop looking at those weird details that NO ONE else does. Just keep the black and forget about it. People's eyes won't be drawn to the black kick plate, and your kitchen will be fine.
