QuestionIt's hard to tell from the photo — does the handle stick out at all? Our silverware drawer opens at a right angle to the dishwasher which means that I need a flat front to the dishwasher, or the drawer can't open.

- Answer This model has a recessed handle, the control panel is raised less than 1/4 inch. Basically it is flat.

QuestionWhat are the running times for each cycle. Model KDFE104DWH Also there is a mention of a filter - does that require cleaning by customer? What is the best way to clean buildup of soap on racks, etc.

- Answer The standard cycle I use the most is normal and it is an hour. The filter screws in and is easy to remove and needs to be cleaned regularly. I have not noticed much buildup on the racks, but use cleaners (usually pouches) that can be easily purchased from Walmart

- Answer When you buy the dishwasher, you get a users guide. But if you have the dishwasher but no users guide, you can Google it online and you should be able to find a guide there. Of course, you need to have a specific model number in order to find the right users guide. If you inherited the dishwasher, like from renting an apartment or buying a home, call Kitchen Aid and they will be able to tell you where to find the numbers you need to search for a users guide online. These numbers are not hidden, you should be able to see them.

- Answer It vents on the left side and all the clearance I have (and that is required) is 3 inches from the left side of the cabinet. I have noticed no issues

- Answer Spots can be cleaned by buying a stainless steel clearer at any grocery store or Target. Discoloration will not come out.

- Answer Instructions come with the dishwasher. It is very easy to install. Just make sure you are on a level surface before sliding it into the opening. Hint: Run the drain and water supply lines from the supply and drain side, through the opening in the cabinet and then connect to the dishwasher. Much easier this way than to fish blindly through the front opening of the cabinet and reaching around.
