“This dishwasher states it's 24 in depth, I have 22 1/2 in depth to work with. Is the depth that's shown in the specification on Best Buy including the handle or is the actual depth (handle not included) 24 inches?”

Our counter depth is 23-7/8". With our installation, the side edge of the stainless steel door is outside the edge of the counter. Since the Corian countertop overhangs the counter, only the door handle is visible looking down from above. If your counter depth opening is close to 24", you should be fine.
