Woody, the dishwasher does not have an exterior vent. As steam collects inside the dishwasher it then drains out through the drain line.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Best is to have dishwasher that actually releases the steam out of the dishwasher. Not out the top if you have Formica type (wood) counter. and not bottom if you have hardwood flooring, because it will cup your flooring over time. Some Kitchen aid/Whirlpool have vent on the front of the door and near top. This is an all around great option that checks most the boxes. Dries way faster when you release the steam but not everyone can do that and so was born the ventless with a bunch of marketing garbage. Its interesting because this is the little dirty secret of dishwashers that is so hard to find manufacturing information on. Should be like comparing refrigerator: counter depth vs standard depth. Also should be info right on the sign on the unit, at the showroom or box store.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It comes out of a little vent on the top left side of the door. It sticks out enough to not be coming out on the cabinets. Doesn't seem to be an issue.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does not have a vent.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No steam venting out at all. And this is the BEST dishwasher by far. So quiet you cannot even hear it running! I have almost opened it thinking it wasn't running when it was. Cleans and drys exceptionally well. I am so pleased with this dishwasher!! I absolutely LOVE it!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's on the left side of the door toward the top, not on the front. As long as the dishwasher door clears the side of the cabinet by 1/2" it should be fine. This model seems to have less steam coming out from the vent compared to older ones.
