- Answer First thing I would say is that this dishwasher is very quiet. You can barely hear it running. So far we have only used the Normal cycle with the heated dry. The best I can tell the Normal Wash cycle takes about two hours and the Heated Dry possibly 30-60 minutes. I'm not sure on the length of drying time as I haven't caught it precisely yet. We are very pleased with the operation of this dishwasher and I love how quiet it is. Our old one sounded like a M60-A1 Army tank going through the neighborhood.

QuestionCan the 3rd rack be removed? Currently have an old school dishwasher with silverware caddy that makes it easy to carry across the kitchen and unload into the silverware drawer. If the 3rd rack can’t be removed, how do people unload/put away silverware?

- Answer Hello Eric, Yes the upper rack on this unit can be removed. This unit also has a separate basket for silverware. We hope this helps.

- Answer No. You must disconnect and remove the old dishwasher out of the space where the new dishwasher will be installed. There is an extra "disposal haul away" fee for your dishwasher (saves a trip to the dumps if your old dishwasher is beyond repair).

- Answer Hi BettyBoopaka! The finish can be described as a "satin" type finish. It's not a high gloss and it isn't a flat finish. Also, the time on the express cycle will vary depending on load size and dirt. - Answer Unfortunately Heat Dry will not come on without choosing ProWash, Tough,Normal or Express Wash. It will not come on with Rinse Only or alone.

- Answer I just purchased the stainless 39 Dba KitchenAid dishwasher. It is 24 1/2” deep, 22 5/8” if you exclude the door. The black stainless must have the same dimensions. Most regular size dishwashers are 24 1/2” deep, I believe. I hope this helps you.

QuestionCan anyone please explain to me why the inside walls of the dishwasher and the bottom are always wet? I use ''Heat Dry'' and ''Extended heat Dry'' along with the detergents that are recommended: the Cascade Power Dry and Cascade Platinum. Thank you.

- Answer Angel, it is normal for some moisture to be inside the Dishwasher. We would recommend that you increase your rinse aid setting to dispense more rinse aid, as that will help the drying of the dishes. It can take up to 30 washes for the rinse aid to distribute inside of the Dishwasher and for you to notice a difference in the water left on the door and the walls. We hope this helps!
