What is the decibel rating? null

I do not know the actual number but i can tell you it is extremely quiet. If not for the light being visible when it is on and running typically we don't even hear it and we literally sit on the other side of the half wall with the back of our sofa up against the adjoining wall.

It has a rating of 39 decibels, one of the quietest made. You have to be very near it even in a quiet room to hear it running. 40 db is a "Library, bird calls (44 dB); lowest limit of urban ambient sound". A normal conversation = 60 decibels. Miele sell one that is 38db but it is over $2,000.
