Q: QuestionPower Outage ResetThe manual indicates that "PO" will appear on the panel should there be a power outage. The manual further provides instruction on how to reset. Does this feature mean that you only need to reset to remove the "PO" from the panel OR does this feature mean that the POWER TO THE UNIT DOES NOT RESUME UNTIL THE USER PERFORMS THE RESET? This is significant difference and important...if the power doesn't resume until the user resets, then it could mean that the unit is "OFF' until the user returns home from business trip, vacay, long day, etc. after a power outage or rolling blackout occurs. Anyone have the info please? Hopefully KitchenAid will UPDATE THE MANUAL to clarify this. Potential purchase depends on having this information UPFRONT before the purchase please.

• A:Answer If your lucky 3 to 4 years. Lots of problems with them. On the kitchenaid website 20 percent have had major issues. Whirlpool and kitchenaid is the same company. Really bad customer service.

• A:Answer I got the identical Whirlpool version. Only differences are the handles and grey trim interior. The Kitchenaid does have a nicer look with the red handles and grey interior trim. The technician that came down says he recommends the Kitchenaid, because it has a better warranty. I got the extended warranty. Very quiet. It does run much of the time, but is very quiet. Makes ice very fast. We turned second ice maker off. As fast as it makes it, we can turn it on a few hours before we need a large batch for entertaining. We called Whirlpool as we were concerned that the fridge wasn't shutting off. Technician came same day we called. It was the fans that were running so continuously. Really like it.

Q: QuestionDoes it dispense *cold* water?I'm chatting with KA and they said that it doesn't actually dispense cold water. Is this true? Seems crazy. They said it only dispenses as cold as the water is from the tap, nothing colder.
