A:Answer I got the identical Whirlpool version. Only differences are the handles and grey trim interior. The Kitchenaid does have a nicer look with the red handles and grey interior trim. The technician that came down says he recommends the Kitchenaid, because it has a better warranty. I got the extended warranty.
Very quiet. It does run much of the time, but is very quiet. Makes ice very fast. We turned second ice maker off. As fast as it makes it, we can turn it on a few hours before we need a large batch for entertaining. We called Whirlpool as we were concerned that the fridge wasn't shutting off. Technician came same day we called. It was the fans that were running so continuously. Really like it.
