• Yes, the light turns on when either door is open. Open both doors and you can see the piece on both the right and left inside hinges of the door. Press either one of them in - you will see nothing happens; the frig light will stay on. Now, press them both in - the light will go off. Your delivery guy didn't give you the right answer. The lights will turn off only when both doors are shut.
