- Answer Yes, in that you gently tap your thumb up and down on the handle end instead of just holding it down. It's very easy to do, and works very well. Hope this helps.

- Answer You probably don't want to fill it to the top, especially with hard/dense items, because it is not an" industrial strength" machine. That's not a negative, that's just the purpose it was designed to serve. However - for example- it easily can do 2 cups of zucchini squash cut into 1 inch cubes with no trouble. We've done onions, garlic, etc. with no trouble. I believe the real key is to cut your items into smaller cubes.

- Answer Bowl removes from base and cover comes off bowl. Inside is removable blade. So three removable parts. The cord wraps around base and not loose on counter if you don't want it in the way.

- Answer Hi SC, Proposition 65 was enacted in 1986 in the State of California. It requires an updated list once a year of potentially harmful materials. Whirlpool/KitchenAid meets or exceeds all standards for safe materials, but our products do have cords, which causes them to make the list. Any time you have a cord, there is the potential for it to come in contact with something hazardous.
