- Answer Hi Deanna, there is an end of cycle "tone" which will sound like a series of single tones, then will stop on it's own. You can mute them or reduce the volume, if you prefer they not activate. Also, this unit's Microwave or Oven will function while the timer is activated and it will not stop or start the oven in timer mode.
