• A:Answer Yes, we are very impressed with how fast this cooktop heats up. I spent "hours" researching cooktops before we made this purchase. These are too expensive just to pick the first one you see. I would buy it again if I ever needed to.

• A:Answer Hello, per the installation Instructions, https://shorturl.at/I3L5l, A 4-wire or 3-wire, single-phase, 120/240 V, 60 Hz, AC only electrical supply on a separate, 40 A circuit breaker is required for both 30" (76.2 cm) and 36" (91.4 cm) models. Q: QuestionThis is an awesome cooktop. We had the older model and it cracked so we replaced it with this one - a definite upgrade. Only issue is that the fan turns off while we are cooking. Wondering why this is happening? Didn't happen with previous model.

Q: QuestionI can't tell from the photos or the description, is the glasstop glossy or matte finish? Also, since the cooktop apparently scratches easily, what type cookware does Kitchen Aid recommend?

• A:Answer The finish is in between glossy and matte. It has a light shine to it. I wouldent say it scratches easily but it gets marks on it around the outer parts of the cooking element which normal detergents wont remove. Sorry cant help with how to get it off. I think this is common with glass cooktops though.

Q: QuestionAm buying KA 36" cooktop KCED606GBL either w/ stainless steel trim on top and bottom OR w/ beveled edges & no SS trim. Salesperson said beveled edges r strong & wont break. ALSO read scratching of glass is a problem. PLS let me know your experience.

• A:Answer They are made of strong ceramic and from my experience in 6 years never had a scratch. But was told the ones with stainless trim, the trim does scratch. I see it in the store on display. So I ask. They scratch along edge but the non trim ones still looked new!

Q: QuestionWill it fit in a standard 36" cabinet? The cabinet has 34 9/16" gap between walls, which is exactly what the installation manual specifies for the countertop cutout. Thanks.

• A:Answer It’s 4 inch from bottom of drop in to top of stove. It’s 9/16 “ from glass top to drop in box. So you get a 9/16” edge to sit on counter. Drop in box (stove) is 4”
