Everything you need to know is answered for you, almost. Look at “PDF installation guide”. It uses 120 volt. NO! You don’t use batteries! Come on. This, they do not tell you. If there is a power outage, simply strike a match, hold it near, not too close, to the burner. Turn on the burner. The gas will start to flow. It will come into contact with the lit match causing the burner to flame. Don’t keep holding the match there. You will get burned.
