A:AnswerHello, we are sorry to hear about this concern. Pleaser review the troubleshooting tips provided.
Ice Maker Operation/Reset:
If the ice maker is making ice but not dumping it, try a reset. Unplug the refrigerator for one minute, then plug it back in. Wait a couple of hours and check for ice production.
A common reason for no ice production is that the ice maker was accidentally turned off. You can try a power cycle (unplug for one minute) or use the reset button (if available) for a few seconds. Refer to ""How to Turn the Ice Maker On"" (https://producthelp.whirlpool.com/Refrigeration/Full-Size_Refrigerators/French_Door_Bottom_Freezer_Refrigerator/Ice_and_Water_Concerns/Ice_and_Dispenser_Concerns/Ice_Production/Not_Making_Ice/Not_Making_Ice_-_Refrigerator#s13394) for more information.
If the ice maker is on but not connected to a water supply, it can cause a buzzing noise and lead to the refrigerator or freezer sections becoming too cold, potentially freezing food in crisper drawers.
Water Filter Status:
Recent Replacement: Ensure a newly installed water filter is locked into place for a proper seal. An improperly installed filter can reduce water flow, decrease ice production, or cause leaks. To check, remove the filter and dispense water; if water dispenses, the filter was installed incorrectly and should be reinstalled.
Filter Replacement: It is recommended to replace the Whirlpool water filter every 6 months or when the indicator light comes on. A clogged filter can reduce water flow to the ice maker and dispenser, resulting in low ice production. Whirlpool recommends using everydrop® water filters. Find the right replacement filter for your refrigerator at https://www.everydropwater.com/.
Flushing the System: Flushing is necessary every time the filter is changed or initially installed. This key step removes excess air and carbon. Air in the system can cause dripping at the dispenser, small/hollow ice cubes, or cloudy water. The required amount of water to dispense for a proper flush varies; refer to your filter's instructions (typically 1, 2, or 4 gallons).
Water Line Installation:
The refrigerator must be connected to a cold water supply using 1/4"" (6.35 mm) O.D. soft copper or PEX tubing. A service loop of tubing is recommended to allow the refrigerator to be pulled out for service.
Check for kinks in the water supply line, as this reduces flow. Straighten the line and avoid pushing the refrigerator too far back against the wall or cabinet to prevent pinching the line.
If the issue persists, we recommend contacting KitchenAid® directly at 1(800)422-1230 for further assistance. Our representatives are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST.
A:AnswerThank you for your inquiry about our KitchenAid appliances. Door Ajar Alarm:
The Door Ajar Alarm feature sounds an alarm when the refrigerator door(s), drawers, or freezer drawer is open for 5 minutes and cooling is turned on. The alarm will repeat every 2 minutes. Close all doors and drawer to turn it Off. The feature then is reset and will reactivate when either door is left open again for 5 minutes.
NOTE: To mute the audible alarm while keeping the doors open, such as while cleaning the inside of the refrigerator, press any button on the control panel. The alarm sound will be temporarily turned Off, but the Door Ajar icon will still be displayed on the dispenser control panel.
Disabling Sounds
To turn Off all control and dispenser sounds, press and hold ICE/WATER and MEASURED FILL buttons at the same time for 3 seconds. All normal operating tones are disabled. Only
alert tones will be audible.
To turn all sounds back on, press and hold ICE/WATER and MEASURED FILL buttons at the same time for 3 seconds again.

A:Answer68 1/4" from the floor to the top of the fridge itself. I got mine under a cabinet that was 69" from the floor and it has 7/16 of an inch to spare. I hope that helps.
A:AnswerI use the control panel to set desired quantity and then hit the dispense button. No need for two hands. If the container fits, no need for any hands.
