Q: QuestionHi: Can this model accept a motor so the outflow is no more than 300CFM? We have a building code issue to meet. Thanks, Paul

• A:Answer Hello PJORainier. This KitchenAid® Range Hood has a motor with a 600 CFM and you are not able to change the motor for a lower CFM. We hope this helps!

Q: QuestionWhat are the dimensions of the column that extend above the actual hood to the ceiling? Can an extension be purchased so that the column can extend to and through a 9' ceiling?

• A:Answer The outside dimensions are 13"wide x 10.5" deep x 34" tall. It fit in our kitchen with 9' ceiling and didn't need the extension that you have to/ can order separately. We bought this model because the hole in our drywall ceiling was large for the vent and this was one of the widest column models we could find. We love it and would recommend.
