QuestionWhy does the range need a motor or what does the motor do? I noticed that there was a complaint about the vent fan was “ridiculously loud”. Is it normal for the fan to be so loud that a reviewer would complain.

- Answer Hello Dick, the KVWC958JSS is not sold with the fan motor installed. This way owners can fine tune their Externally Vented Range Hood to their particular installation needs. The operating sound can be impacted by installation or planning issues, so care should be taken when making your selections.
