Hi Rose, so according to Kitechaid official website, its says one steel blade cup can grind whole coffee beans to make up to 12 cups of coffee. I use to clean my grinder with brush and never used water as I don’t want to risk it and compromise my machine, to my opinion cleaning with brush is quite enough! I have attached you 2 pictures and I hope I helped out. My best
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The three containers are 2 3/4" across. The two spice/nut grinder containers each hold 1/2 cup. The difference between them is that the lid on one is perforated, the other is not. I've used them successfully. The coffee grinder holds 1 cup. I haven't used that because I don't drink coffee, so can't report on its effectiveness. They are all of stainless steel and dishwasher safe Sorry that I can't provide pictures--I am not computer savvy enough.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Two of them (the ones for spices and seeds) , hold 1/2 cup each. The larger one, which I assume is OK for coffee, although I don't use it, holds about 12 oz. I wouldn't recommend filling to the brim, however. I think it's better not to overfill. The containers are easily washed--that is one of its better advantages, and why I disposed of the previous grinder.
