“Does it grind coffee beans evenly? Also, I will be using it to grind for cold brew so I need a coarse grind. Would the be suitable for this purpose? I have never purchased a coffee grinder so any info is helpful. Thanks!”

I've found that to get an even grind, you have to grind the coffee for a bit, shake up the partially ground coffee in the grinder and repeat the process until you get the level of even grind you desire. This is the only way I personally have been able to get an even grind. It's not annoying or problematic to me; it just forces you to be an active participant in the grinding process.
