• A:Answer I went with the KVWC906jss hood with the kitchenaid 1200cfm motor (internal blower) this range has a total of about 95,000 btu and with all heat elements on, this one looks like it can support it. I hope this helps

• A:Answer KitchenAid friends, the link you gave is to the User Manual, which has nothing to say about child safety. Surely *someone* there at KitchenAid has some advice beyond looking at the manual. I'd hate to think I'd spent so much money on a mistake!
