The size of the bowl is one factor. I have the 4.5qt bowl and is is larg enough for all my baking need(cakes bread, cookies) I like the 4.5 qt. bowl without the handle. I have extra bowls and they can fit inside one another. Perfect size for my kitchen. I even had the new kitchen cabinets placed an inch higher in the new kitchen to make sure when I tilted the top I would clear. Wattage is another factor. The higher wattages are good for heavy dough mixing and also for larger quantities. Color also changes the price...I do not know why. My mixer is 45 years old and still running. The KitchenAid mixer is my favorite wedding shower gift for family
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Price varies with motor wattage, bowl size, accessories, availability, and even the color. Popular colors in low supply and higher demand may command a higher price. Read all specs carefully- higher watts/more powerful.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I compared several of these models before I bought. The differences I saw were: Bowl size (4.5 qt vs 5 qt) Watts (300 vs. 325) Tilt head vs. Bowl eject model I bought the 4.5 qt, tilt-head model because of personal preference.
