I have these setup as rear speakers in a 26x26(ish) sized room and they do the trick but work best when your seated on the couch in front of the TV. If you're using them that way, the pair is fine. If you're using them as stereo speakers for music, follow your heart and put as many as you want (as long as your receiver can handle the ohms).
