I did not use the speaker as a center channel but. Here is a couple of things to think about with using it at a center channel speaker: 1. Direction, it may not project the speech as well as a speaker facing you. Wall mounted may work better than ceiling mounted. 2. Compare the frequency response with this speaker and their center channel speaker to see if they are similar. You would want one that promotes speech over other parts of the sound track.
