The HT-50 is a passive home theater system that will require a connection with a receiver/amplifier that supplies close to 75 Watts per channel at 8 Ohms. Connect your desktop computer to this receiver/amplifier to play audio through the speakers.

A 5.1 reciever (not stereo) and depending on the output of your computer HDMI into the receir then your monitor, display port to hdmi converter into the recoever then your monitor, mini 3.5 jack to stereo rca into the back of the reciver (least ideal) or optical into the back of the reciever (very rare for computers)
