“In some pictures, there is what appears to be a cloth grill covering the front of the speakers and in some the individual components are visible. Which is correct? Thanks”

It’s called a speaker grille and it’s pretty common to show you what the speakers look like underneath it when taking promotional pictures. They just pop off, but do absolutely come with them.
