• A:Answer To connect this model R-80SWi to teh R-15PM powered speakers: 1. Plug in the subwoofer and set the power switch to Auto or On 2. Attach the wireless transmitter's RCA to the R-15PM's subwoofer output and plug in the power cord to the transmitter and the wall 3. Press and hold the pair buttons on the wireless transmitter as well as the subwoofer for 3 seconds. 4. The LED will turn solid once paired. *For step 3, sometimes it is easier to take the transmitter closer to the sub with the sub output connection to the audio source device(in this case R-15PM) disconnected and then take the transmitter back and connect to the R-15PM after paired initial pairing.

Q: QuestionMy Onkyo receiver is in a cabinet where my wifi router is also located. Will the wireless option for this subwoofer catch interference with the wifi? Will this be a likely issue?

• A:Answer You will most likely get some interference if your wifi is running on the 2.4ghz network. If possible move your router to the other side of the cabinet, or extend the transmitter for the sub to the other side. This little sub sounds great, I placed mine behind the couch in the center of the room and it fills the entire room perfectly. I am extremely picky with audio, and was pleasantly surprised by this little 8in. I've always ran a 10 and a 15 for the low end, but my current set up wouldn't allow those.

• A:Answer It should work. Plug transmitter into Sub1 on the AVR, and supply power. Plug in Sub. Tell the AVR you have a Sub. Push buttons on the transmitter and back of Sub to pair the components. Solid light on back of Sub and transmitter means you're good to go. Adjust gain on AVR and Sub. It isn't real powerful, but it does what I wanted it for. A green light shows on the top of the Sub when it's active. I have the toggle switch to turn on Sub when the AVR is on. I don't want it on all the time. I put taller feet on the Sub so the carpet doesn't eat as much sound. I hooked it up the small Marantz directly under my TV.

• A:Answer Hi, That Subwoofer was given to my friend's family as a gift, but in general Subwoofers deliver a non directional low frequency audio effect that even has the ability to vibrate items in the listening area. From the info you sent about the speakers you are using, I would suggest you set the unit crossover to handle frequencies below 100Hz. Even though your speakers have a wide frequency response - it's the subwoofer that handles the .1 EFFECT of a 5.1 / 7.1 / 9.1 surround sound system. Your other speakers will sound good on their own, but their woofers are not expected to do what the powered sub can do. Thanks, I hope this answers your question.

• A:Answer I'm unfamiliar with the Bose product you mentioned, but if you have a line out or a subwoofer out, you should be able to connect it. As for the sound, if you know what the crossover frequency is for your Bose product you should be able to dial in a good cut off frequency. Then adjust the volume on sub and go. If you set it up correctly, you should get decent bass response. Please consider sub placement and room size. If you have a medium to large size room this sub will probably be inadequate.
